Account and Settings
You can log into Shotly by using either your email and password or Google.
Info
Shotly will never send you spamy marketing emails or similar. Your email is primarily used to provide a unique login and an option to reset your password. The only other time you will receive an email from Shotly is if I personally reach out to you.
You can manage your account at any time by clicking on Account in the lower left of the sidebar.
The first field in the dialog shows your email address. This email cannot be changed and there is currently no way to transfer your data to another email.
Your "Display name" is a publicly visible name. I recommend simply using your first name. The display name is used to identify you when collaborating on a shotlist. You can not use it to log into Shotly.
The third row allows you to manage or upgrade your subscription. You may be redirected to Stripe.com.
Settings
In this dialog you can also change your user settings:
- Appearance: Set to the sun icon for light mode, the moon for dark mode, or the computer to use the system theme (default).
- Remember export settings between reloads: If turned on (default), your export settings configuration will be saved even after closing the page.
- Display Scene numbers next to Shot letters: This will turn the shot letters from A, B, C (default) to 1A, 1B, 1C, given that scene 1 is selected.
- Display shot numbers after Z as: If more than 26 shots are created, the shot letters will either double and eventually triple up or mimic numbers and continue with AA, AB, AC, and eventually turn to BA, BB, BC.
- Shotlist Scale: A scaling factor that can be applied to the shotlist. Double-click to reset.
Note
For now, settings are stored locally on your device. This means that you will have to configure the settings to your liking on each device (browser) individually.
Account
Blocked users
The first row allows you to manage blocked users by clicking the Manage button. This opens a dialog where you can see all users that you have blocked via the Collaborations Popup on the dashboard.
The following happens when blocking a user:
- They are unable to invite you to collaborate on their shotlists.
- Your access to shotlists that are owned by said user is removed.
- Their access to shotlists owned by you is removed.
- You can still see edits of a blocked user if both of you are collaborators on a shotlist owned by a third party.
- You can still send new invites to a blocked user if you choose to do so.
Other
In this section you can also find the options to Sign out and Delete your account.
Info
When deleting your account, all your data is permanently lost. The moment you click "confirm" all of your Shotlists and Templates will be removed from Shotly's database.
All the way at the bottom of the dialog you can find links to the Legal pages, Shotly's Changelog as well as its Issue tracker and lastly the current version number and build time.
